Conservative Leader Targets Specter

James Dobson, founder of the nonprofit Christian organization, Focus on the Family attacked Arlen Specter, a pro-choice moderate in the Republican Party, claiming that he was a "big-time problem" and that Specter's strive to become chairman of the Judiciary Committee "must be derailed".
Arlen Specter, the only pro-choice Republican on the Judiciary Committee is also unpopular among Christian conversatives for comments he made in favor of stem cell research.
It seems that after the most recent election social conservatives feel more ambitious about their chances to push ahead their agenda and will put massive pressure on President Bush to appoint like-minded judges.
